EVA FIRST READERS

WE'RE LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD READERS.

(Application below)

Not just people who love books, but people who love books that make them think, feel, question—and occasionally disagree.

We're inviting a select group of readers to discover EVA, a new novel by Daniel Keane, before its publication in early 2027.

If selected, you'll receive two complimentary advance ebooks. One for you. One for someone you'd particularly enjoy reading and chatting about it with.

Read independently, at roughly the same time. Then get together for coffee, lunch, dinner or a glass of wine and talk about Eva, Daniel and the extraordinary marriage at the heart of their story.

We hope you'll share your honest thoughts about the novel, whether privately, through a review and even with Daniel himself.  (Reviews are entirely optional, and there are no obligations.)

IS EVA YOUR KIND OF BOOK?

What happens when two people decide that nothing in their marriage should remain unsaid?

Eva has an extraordinary appetite for life. Curious, mischievous and gloriously unconventional, she refuses to accept that love, desire and marriage must follow anyone else's rules. Eva's greatest adventure begins with Daniel, the love of her life. In him, she finds not just a husband, but a partner whose love and trust give her the freedom to become fully herself.

At the heart of their marriage lies a remarkable promise—one that opens doors neither could have imagined and challenges everything they thought they understood about love, honesty and commitment. Together, they discover that freedom and devotion need not be opposites, and that choosing each other can mean far more than simply belonging to one another.

EVA is emotionally immersive, sexually candid, and unafraid of complicated relationships or uncomfortable truths. It is not a conventional happily-ever-after romance; unless you count 40 years of happiness.

If you enjoy character-driven fiction about adult relationships, unconventional choices, intimacy and emotional complexity, we'd love to hear from you.

Before EVA takes you somewhere unexpected, it gives you someone worth following there.

Is EVA Your Kind of Book?

How do you feel about novels exploring unconventional relationships and marriages?
I find them fascinating.
I enjoy them when the characters and relationships feel believable.
I'm open-minded, but they aren't usually my first choice.
I prefer more conventional relationships in fiction.
How comfortable are you with sexually explicit scenes in novels? EVA is not erotica. It is a character-driven novel about love, marriage, female agency and emotional intimacy. Sometimes explicit sexual experiences are an important part of that story.
Very comfortable. That's fine
Comfortable. I appreciate explicit scenes when they're part of a compelling story.
Somewhat uncomfortable. It depends on the characters, context and level of detail.
Not comfortable. I generally prefer novels without explicit sexual content.
Thinking about books such as Fifty Shades of Grey (whether or not you've read them), which best describes your reaction to that kind of fiction?
Great fun. I enjoy fiction that explores desire without too many inhibitions.
Not necessarily my kind of book, but the subject matter doesn't bother me.
Interesting, although I'd prefer more emotional depth and complex characters.
That kind of fiction really isn't for me.
EVA is a substantial novel, approximately 400 pages, with an emotionally complex story including unexpected twists and dry humour. How does that sound?
Exactly the sort of novel I enjoy.
Interesting. I'd like to give it a try.
Possibly, although I usually prefer lighter reading.
If selected, is there someone you'd enjoy reading EVA alongside and discussing it with afterwards?
Absolutely!
Probably
No, just me
