BEYOND THE PAGE

When I finished writing EVA, I found I wasn't quite ready to leave its world behind.

I'd spent a year imagining these people, the places they inhabited and the moments that shaped their lives. Naturally, I began wondering what some of them might look like beyond the written word.

This gallery is part of that exploration.

​

Using photography, digital art, generative AI and other creative technologies, I've experimented with bringing aspects of EVA's world to life. These are artistic interpretations, not definitive portraits. Though yes, there are some real photographs of my Eva in there too.

The Eva you imagine may look nothing like mine. And that's exactly as it should be. In fact, I'd love to hear how you imagine her, or even see your interpretation.

The novel belongs to the words. The images are simply another way of exploring the world I imagined. I'm no Spielberg, just a guy sitting on his couch with two labradoodles.
