Labradoodles as Editors

Eva was written on this sofa using two fingers and a thumb.

It was the lack of a thumb or two that held Howie back from helping too much, which is why Labradoodles rarely edit themselves.

Instead they give you a hard stare when prose becomes bloviated and a raised eyebrow when you swear. When I got to the spicy bits he went to find a chicken snack or tennis ball.

But where my woolly wingman really contributed was during our three walks in the woods each day to clear my head and literally see the wood for the trees.

There's another one around here somewhere too... he's the naughty one... so I'd better go find him.
